Positive & Negative Space

Whoaaaaa!

'Change of plans.

While thinking about the 5 Stars Project, I realized how neatly the design requirements of that project fit into an exploration of Positive & Negative space.

Please keep all of the work you have done for the 5 Stars Project so far, but we are going to shift gears and then come back to it with a different perspective.

To proceed with the the new direction, please watch a couple of the videos below--particularly the 1st one--and come to a basic understanding of Positive & Negative space.  There is a lot of information on the subject available online, so if none of these videos bring you to a practical understanding, do some individual research.

Now, look here for some examples of text-based solutions:

After having developed a sense for Positive & Negative Space, proceed with the exercise below:

Create a Positive/Negative Space design using your 1st Name as a point-of-departure.
