Project 5, 4th Quarter "Messaging Part 2"

For Part 1 of the Messaging Project, you examined a variety of messaging types and assessed what type of message is most effective with various population groups.

 For Part 2, you probably won't be surprised to learn that you are going to create an original message that revolves around our current state of affairs in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

 You will pick one style of messaging:

1) Personal Hygiene
2) Physical Distancing
3) Know the Symptoms
4) Myth-Busting
5) Spread Kindness
6) Solidarity

And select 1 population group:

1) Elderly
2) High Schools students
3) Parents
4) Unicorns
5) Rick Astley
6) You decide

Here is an example that I put together with my son:


I know that some of you are struggling a little with the Pixlr program. At this point, you are welcome to use any program you can find or have available to you, but don't get too hung up on the slickness of your design.

What I'm looking for is the IDEA and if you have access to PS or are becoming fluent with Pxlr and can put together a very finished project, great. If circumstances are preventing you from really refining your designs, just make sure to make the concept clear. 

Finally, don't discount using humor in your concept. While we are dealing with a serious topic, sometimes a bit of humor, used wisely, cuts through more effectively than anything.

Project 3, 4th Quarter "Fantasy Workspace"

Fantasy Workspace Here's mine With our current  Social Distancing  situation, we have all had to carve out a workspace from which to attend virtual school. Since my wife also works in Education and my son is in 8th grade, we are spread throughout the house...my wife is conducting business in the den, my son is attending virtual school in the playroom and I am set up on the dining room table.  All very doable and we are thankful we can work from home and have access to a house laden with technology that allows us each to work on our own device.  That, unfortunately, is not the situation for everyone. All across the District, from students to parents to employees, people are struggling to find a place to work and the appropriate technology to work on. Even in our situation, things aren't ideal.
